After the success of the Fatal1ty FC-ZE1 Champion Computer Enclosure, Zalman have taken all the good and bad points from the Fatal1ty chassis to bring you the newest, and best yet, computer case. The renamed Z-Machine GT1000 at first glance looks similar to the Fatal1ty chassis. It is only when you look at the finer detail do you see some major improvements.
The first thing you will notice is that the new case is available in two different colors. Along with the ever popular black case, Zalman have manufactured one with a Titanium finish. As you can see from the images the color of the LEDs have changed too. The Titanium case is supplied with two 92mm intake fans and a 120mm exhaust fan, both of which have blue LEDs. The black version has the same sized fans but instead of blue LEDs these are red.
One drawback of the Fatal1ty case was the fact that it could only accommodate three hard drives. Zalman looked at this and designed the GT1000 capable of accommodating up to 6 hard drives! The drive cage has grown to hold four hard drives and the final two can be mounted to the floor of the chassis.

Another unpopular aspect about the Fatal1ty case was the fact that it was littered with warning messages and the Fatal1ty logo. You will be happy to know that virtually all, apart from the very important warning messages have been removed and all Fatal1ty logos have been replaced (obviously) with the Z-Machine logo.
The final difference that deserves a mention is the door. Unlike the Fatal1ty case which had just one large windowed door, the GT100 has two doors. Behind the non-windowed door on the GT1000 lies the drive bays, which tend to be the less visually appealing area of a PC. But behind the windowed door you can see the installed PC components. The benefit of this design is that if you want to show off the inside of the PC you do not have to reveal the ugly side - OK not much of a benefit but it looks great!!

As you would expect from Zalman, the GT1000 build quality is second to none. It is constructed with 5mm thick aluminum and offers tool-free installation of hard drives and optical drives. The end product is one that any gamer would be proud of.
